India produced one of their greatest ODI run chases against Pakistan in the 3rd ODI at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, during the 2006 series.
Pakistan recovered brilliantly from 128/5 thanks to outstanding innings from Shoaib Malik and Abdul Razzaq, posting a competitive total of 288. India's bowlers had created early pressure, but Malik and Razzaq turned the game around with a superb partnership.
In reply, Mohammad Asif and Umar Gul stunned India by reducing them to 12/2. Then came a batting masterclass. Sachin Tendulkar played a magnificent 95 filled with elegant strokeplay before Yuvraj Singh and MS Dhoni completely dismantled Pakistan's bowling attack.
Yuvraj's classy unbeaten fifty and Dhoni's explosive 79 off just 46 balls powered India to a famous five-wicket victory, giving them a 2-1 lead in the series.
