After Lakshmipathy Balaji and Ashish Nehra dismantled Pakistan's batting on the opening day, Dravid batted for over 12 hours, facing 495 balls, to power India to 600 runs. His marathon innings, supported by valuable contributions from Parthiv Patel, VVS Laxman, Sourav Ganguly, and Yuvraj Singh, completely took the game away from Pakistan.
Balaji's outstanding swing bowling, backed by Nehra and Anil Kumble, sealed a famous innings victory as India clinched the series 2-1, creating one of the greatest moments in Indian cricket history.
